16. Math Tutorials: Subtraction
In this lesson, students are introduced to the concept of subtraction. Students are asked to count and enter in the number of animated penguins they see. Penguins jump in the water and the student is asked again how many penguins are left. Students also participate in the hungry worm game to further reinforce the concept of subtraction.

In this lesson students review the number line concept and utilize it to locate 2’s, 5’s and 10’s on a number line. Students play The Train Game to practice counting by 2’s, 5’s and 10’s. In the exercise, students are given a time limit and get points each time people board their train by selecting the correct answers.
