Within the next century, Viking ships crossed the Atlantic in fleets to land on the shores of Greenland, Newfoundland, and Labrador. This unit examines the early history of the New World and includes Christopher Columbus, Jacques Cartier, Sieur de Roberval, the cod trade, Acadia and Samuel de Champlain.
